# Best Buy price match: how to use it, and how to pay less

Not yet. Best Buy (bestbuy.com) sells tVs, computers, phones, appliances, gaming. It does not accept offers yet. Register the price you would pay and be told if that changes.

## Does Best Buy accept offers?

Not yet. Best Buy does not currently offer a formal way to make an offer online. You can register the price you would pay on this page, and you will be notified if that changes.

## Can you negotiate with Best Buy?

There is no formal channel today. In store, a discount sometimes depends on the salesperson and the day, and online there is no built-in way to make Best Buy an offer. Registering the price you would pay here is currently the only structured way to express one.

## Does Best Buy price match?

Yes. We'll match the current product price of key online and local competitors ("Qualified Competitors") for immediately available new products sold from Best Buy (excludes Marketplace Products, clearance, refurbished and open-box items). The product sold from Best Buy must be a matching brand, model number and color to qualify. The product must also be a new product. At the time of sale, we price match these Qualified Competitors. We match our online and app prices on in-store purchases and our in-store prices on online and app purchases. If we lower our in-store, online or app price during the return and exchange period, we will match our lower price, upon request. One price match at the time of purchase, per identical item, per customer, at the current pre-tax price available to all customers is allowed. Online: Connect with us via Best Buy Chat. Please be prepared to direct us to the ad or website that is displaying the current lower price you would like to match. You can also call 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) for a BestBuy.com price match request. In Store: Visit any Best Buy or Pacific Sales store and present the Qualified Competitor's ad or website, with the lower price that is still in effect, to any of our employees. We will then review and verify the price match request. Checked against Best Buy's published policy on 14 October 2026. Price matching gets you a competitor's public price; an offer is different — it is your private price, which can go where public prices don't.

## When does Best Buy have sales?

Best Buy runs public promotions regularly, so timing a purchase around sale periods can pay. The trade-off: public sale prices are visible to everyone, apply only to what's on sale, and end when the sale ends.

## How do I get a discount at Best Buy?

Price matching is the surest route today: find the identical item advertised for less and ask Best Buy to match it. Watch for their public promotions. And register the price you would pay on this page — if Best Buy starts accepting offers, you'll be first to know, with your offer already queued.
