Online matches require the product to be available the same day, and the customer's price must include shipping. In-store matches apply to most local competitors and are subject to the Guarantee's terms.

- Clearance, flash sales, catalog, discontinued, damaged, used, refurbished, open-package and liquidation items; mail-in offers and instant rebates; prices on internet auction sites such as eBay, non-professional independent websites, and third-party Amazon resellers; prices from online-only sellers such as Rock Auto or Amazon; prices that require a paid club or loyalty card; buy-one-get-one offers where the retail price is not shown; wholesale or tax-exempt prices; items offered with a free gift card; and engines, transmissions and commercial heavy-use equipment.

- For in-store matches, the customer must provide a copy of the competitor's entire advertisement in print, photo, photocopy or mobile phone format. Advance Auto Parts reserves the right to verify the competitor's advertised price and the item's availability.
